The Amoeba series from ARES is one of the most popular sniper rifles, and with good reason. They have superb ergonomics, a beautiful aesthetic, and excellent performance.
The AST1 is a tactical variant of the renowned Striker series. Featuring an adjustable stock, improved (adjustable) cheekpiece, and even has a RIS rail on the bottom of the stock for a monopod or sling attachment.
The safety on this model has been revised, with loading now prevented once the safety is engaged. The magazine release has also been modified for a smoother/easier release. Another modification received is the trigger - it is now fully adjustable, ensuring your new rifle feels exactly the way you want!
The Amoeba Striker is a spring powered replica, so every time you pull the bolt back you are cocking the piston and loading 1x BB into the breach. It is an open bolt design, so if you wanted you could load a BB directly into the breach when you're empty!
This gun features a cocking indicator to show when it's primed, which is a nice touch. But that is what ARES do well - the small things; this rifle has an adjustable hop up that is top-down. In other words, it is far more accurate, and consistent.
